American Clay plaster is a veneer plaster, meaning that it is applied over a substrata such as drywall, plaster, brick or any number of other materials. American Clay plaster is virtually unique in that it can be reworked indefinitely on the wall and can be repaired easily.
American Clay Plaster a “green” building product with up to 8 LEED points. It is a zero VOC wall finish, that emits a natural negative ionic charge which helps keep the air cleaner. The components of this clay plaster are produced in the USA primarily from reclaimed materials from other industries. The Loma finish uses reclaimed marble dust as an aggregate which creates a plaster with a delicate sparkle in sunlight. The Maritimo finish uses crushed oyster shell to create a deeply textured plaster. The Porcelina finish uses fine marble dust from the marble industry to create an incredibly smooth, polished plaster reminiscent of venetian styled lime plaster. All three finishes come in 43 beautifully rich and subtle colors.
Our trained and certified applicators can combine these 43 colors and 3 finishes to create uniquely beautiful, sustainable walls finishes that can transform a flat wall into a meditation on tranquility or an office into a warm and subtly sophisticated think tank. Below are just a few samples. We HIGHLY suggest making an appointment with us so that you can see and feel these plasters for yourself. Computer images do not do them the justice they deserve.
